JACLYN TOALE: President
For generations, the Toale family has served the Sarasota and Bradenton communities with compassion and integrity, guiding families through times of loss with care and understanding. Continuing that legacy, Jaclyn Toale brings the same heartfelt commitment to Comforting Currents. As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, she recognizes the deep bond we share with our pets, and the profound grief their passing brings. Drawing on her family’s long tradition of comforting others, Jaclyn founded Comforting Currents to offer a gentler, kinder, and eco-friendly approach to pet aftercare.
Jacyln’s commitment to animals goes beyond founding Comforting Currents, and includes giving back. As a volunteer and certified care-giver to animals in need of specialized attention and new homes, she dedicates time at Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue center. This eight-acre shelter and adoption center has a nearly perfect save rate, well above other shelters in the community. Highly trained in animal care as part of this ongoing volunteer program, she makes a life-changing difference for hundreds of animals.

Joining Jaclyn are a team of dedicated pet lovers: Scott, Chris and Colin. Together, the Comforting Currents staff provide Sarasota and Manatee County with the first and only water-based Aquamation process for pet cremation. Our location provides a beautifully appointed reception area, urn and memorial room, remembrance room, and state-of-the-art operations area that houses all of our equipment and the Pet-550 Aquamation machine.
SCOTT BACON: Director of Operations and Marketing
Prior to joining Jacklyn and Chris to bring Aquamation pet cremation to Sarasota and Manatee County, Scott’s career focused on marketing and operations within the Hospitality industry for airlines, hotels and travel marketers. As a passionate lover of animals and the environment, Scott sees Aquamation as a culmination and convergence of all of his interests, particularly in terms of offering pet owners facing the difficult choices for afterlife with a kind, gentle and vastly more eco-friendly alternative to fire cremation. Scott’s role at Comforting Currents is hands-on, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Jaclyn and Chris consulting with pet owners and industry professionals, running operations, team training and development, and assuring exceptional service to our customers and industry partners.
CHRIS CAVIS: Content and Office Manager
Chris’s first and continued passion is for storytelling, a journey that eventually led him to the University of Florida where he earned his Master’s degree in Journalism. Today, Chris serves as the Content and Office Manager at Comforting Currents, where he blends professional expertise with a heart for service. A lifelong animal lover, Chris grew up surrounded by pets, a background that fostered a profound empathy for families navigating the difficult journey of pet loss. Chris is also a dedicated environmental activist, committed to making sustainable choices that protect the Earth for future generations. At Comforting Currents, he finds a perfect harmony between his values and his craft. By utilizing his background in service and journalism, Chris strives to educate and provide solace to pet parents, shares the message of a gentler, more compassionate farewell for our most cherished companions, and oversees all client communications, processing and logistics.
